Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM) or Ikhtiar was established in 1987 as a Registered Private Trust (under the Trustees Incorporation Act 1952 (Revised 1981)). It is governed by a Board of Trustees that comprises of Senior Government Officers and individuals on personal capacities. Ikhtiar Financing Scheme represents a tool through which capital is uniquely disbured to the poor and marginalized, currently known as microfinance. AIM has reversed the smart conventional banking with disbursement of small loans to finance income generating activities without any collateral, guarantor and any legal action against defaulters.
